THE OPPORTUNITY



We are looking for a dedicated Account Manager to join our growing team and lead commercial execution across both hospital and retail channels. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and wants to be part of building something meaningful from the ground up. You'll manage key customer relationships, drive sales strategy, and identify new opportunities that align with our growth objectives, all while putting people first.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



Formulate & Execute Sales Strategy

Develop and implement territory and channel-specific sales strategies in alignment with company priorities Own key customer relationships and consistently deliver exceptional service and support Monitor sales performance, track progress toward targets, and ensure accurate tracking of updates and internal reporting Work closely with Finance and Commercial Operations to support accurate forecasting and budget tracking

Build Strong, Trusted Relationships

Cultivate deep relationships with hospitals, retail chains, distributors, and purchasing organizations based on responsiveness, transparency, and trust Lead regular business reviews to assess performance, surface opportunities, and proactively address issues Represent Formative Pharma at key conferences and industry events to grow visibility and foster connections

Identify and Execute New Growth Opportunities

Identify and pursue potential new customers, channels or strategic opportunities to support growth Stay close to the market to identify emerging needs, drug shortages, and areas for expansion Collaborate with Business Development to bring forward new product ideas and partnership prospects Support during product launches and contribute to RFP submissions with market intelligence and customer feedback

WHO YOU ARE



University degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, or a related field; MBA or similar is an asset You bring at least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare account management, with knowledge of the Canadian hospital and retail landscape You have a solid understanding of the generic pharmaceutical procurement process, distribution network, and supply chain operations You're resourceful and action-oriented, thriving in environments where you're empowered to figure things out You are relationship-first in your approach and know how to build trust with customers at all levels You're highly organized, a strong communicator in English (French would be an asset), and able to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally You're comfortable with CRM tools, Excel, PowerPoint, and working remotely with a small, close-knit team You're excited to travel across Canada to meet with partners and represent Formative Pharma
