Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding your sales plan by driving new business development growth within existing accounts while leveraging the client's sales playbook. This position focuses on delivering value-added packaging and manufacturing solutions that reduce customers' total costs. You will leverage our client's full range of programs, products, and services to drive revenue and market growth, customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation
Contact target, current, and prospective customers who align with our ideal customer profile to generate sales, improve market share, and increase revenue and gross profit.
Maintain a sales pipeline to support revenue goals.
Identify opportunities within accounts for program adoption (PMP and Managed Services) and value-added solutions within new and existing accounts.
Account Support & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, trust-based customer relationships by listening closely, demonstrating reliability, and delivering solutions with urgency and care
Sell accounts based on service and problem-solving by offering solutions to improve customer methods and procedures
Develop and maintain strategic account plans for top customers and prospects.
Manage price updates, renewals, and follow-ups to achieve gross profit targets through product sales and value-added services.
Lead with programs to achieve program (PMP and Managed Services) goals.
Achieve a balanced product category mix across categories (Corrugated, Foam, Labels, Thermoforming, Packaging Materials, Equipment, Jan-San, Chemicals, Retail, and Misc. Items.
Collaboration & Growth
Keeps management informed by providing timely reports, work plans, and territory analyses as appropriate.
Assist the credit department in collecting past-due invoices and monitor slow-moving inventory.
Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, market trends, and programs for continuous sales improvement.
Work collaboratively with internal experts and teams, including credit, operations, and product experts, to support customer needs and ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain cooperative, transparent communication across departments while embracing new ideas and adapting to evolving customer needs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport quickly with customers and suppliers.
Understanding of sales process and dynamics.
Demonstrated initiative in personal/professional development, reliability, and problem-solving ability.
Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Basic arithmetic, including gross profit calculations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience in a sales role preferred.
Experience in distribution and or manufacturing preferred.
Education & Experience: BA/BS degree
