Role Overview
We are seeking an
Account Manager
based in our Montreal office to focus on
selling services to the retail industry, retention, growth, and long-term partnership development
. You will play a key role in managing accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and identifying opportunities to expand the adoption of Prodco's solutions.
As the primary point of contact for your assigned accounts, you will support customers immediately after onboarding, guide them through effective use of the Prodco platform, and proactively help them extract maximum value from our solutions. You will be instrumental in fostering client trust, understanding their evolving business needs, and presenting the right solutions to drive their success.
Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts and support the sales team with smooth onboarding of new clients.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships with a focus on retention and growth.
Manage customer accounts, including preparing proposals, negotiating agreements, and ensuring profitable renewals and expansions.
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and decision-makers.
Maintain regular communication with clients, present new and existing Prodco solutions, provide ROI analysis, and close expansion opportunities to meet monthly
Gain an in-depth understanding of each customer's business, operational workflows, and use cases to tailor recommendations.
Offer platform guidance and strategic consultation to ensure clients are leveraging Prodco effectively.
Stay informed about Prodco's capabilities and competitive positioning.
Support escalations or complex client requests with professionalism and problem-solving.
Experience & Skills
The ideal candidate will:
Have a solid understanding of retail organizations, store operations, and retail performance metrics.
Be highly customer-centric with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
Communicate technical concepts in a clear, friendly, and approachable manner.
Be exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and proactive--willing to roll up their sleeves to ensure successful execution.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work autonomously when needed.
Demonstrate experience in Account Management, Key Account Management, Sales Account Management, or similar client-facing roles.
Have strong presentation, negotiation, and listening skills.
Be capable of managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
Be comfortable giving and receiving feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
Have experience with CRM and quoting software (Salesforce, Autotask, ConnectWise, QuoteWerks, Quosal) and be proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Business or a related field.
Minimum
2 years of experience
in retail sales, retail operations, account management, or project management.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Fully bilingual in English and French
