As an Account Director, Product at dentsu Creative, you will provide strategic oversight and direction on all client marketing activities (Product) related to a specific account and will be accountable for the realization of above the line and below the line advertising and promotional campaigns. The product team will rely on your expertise and leadership throughout projects to ensure appropriate distribution of resources, fluid communication between stakeholders and risk management.

You are the day-to-day lead person on an integrated account and a key point of contact for the client for the product. Your job carries significant financial responsibilities. You actively maintain and grow strong mid and senior-level client relationships.

You excel at mentoring and developing others and take on mentorship opportunities with ease and proactivity. You recognize how important it is to coach and support your team, providing opportunities and guidance that will drive both individual and overall agency success.

Overall, you hold yourself accountable for ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient product launches. You know how to manage assignments creatively and effectively, making the best use of resources within and outside the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Business
  • Assist the strategy and product teams in developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy to achieve/exceed targets and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to define targets and KPIs, and track progress towards them.
  • Lead weekly product status and roadmap meetings with stakeholders.
  • When applicable, providing stakeholders with reports and forecasts, highlighting key metrics and insights.
  • Partner with EVP, Strategy and Product Director to help educate clients on the latest product workstreams and the strategic POV behind them.
  • Manage multiple clients with excellence and deliver full end to end management of the business from planning straight to development to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met on time.
  • Tap into the wider resources and skills within the agency to develop compelling solutions to client issues.
  • Listen to client needs and provide solid, on-the-spot, thought leadership and counsel.
  • Articulate/present concepts, strategies, and/or plans with confidence, impact, and persuasiveness.
  • Ensure written documents and client presentations clearly articulate strategic vision.
  • Communicate strategy and direction effectively across the team.
  • Utilize industry knowledge to lend a new perspective to clients and the agency\xe2\x80\x99s business.
  • Conduct briefings for internal teams outlining specifics of the project, business objectives, client strategy, requirements, budget, and schedules.
  • Evaluate and provide input to media and strategic reports.
  • Work with the analytics team to identify opportunities to test and measure programs.
  • Develop expertise in understanding when and how to best gain client acceptance of ideas.
  • Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with agency teams and clients.
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead an integrated and motivated team around client objectives ensuring that teams are skilled up and resourced appropriately.
  • Delivery of Performance Development reviews including development plans for direct reports; provide coaching to direct reports on a variety of topics on an ongoing basis.
  • Build and lead cross-functional teams that can anticipate and deliver solutions to meet the client\xe2\x80\x99s requirements.
  • Financials
  • Ensuring the team and processes are in place to deliver streamlined reporting of financials.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in administration/communications/marketing
  • 7+ years of experience in similar function (Prior people management and Advertising Agency experience would be an asset).
  • Proven experience in a senior account role, ideally in an agency or technology environment where this individual was integral to product strategy and development.
  • Exceptional coaching and leadership ability
  • Confident when speaking with stakeholders and able to communicate complex technical solutions that\xe2\x80\x99s easily comprehendible.
  • Strong preference for Experience in Financial Services experience.
  • Experience working with large, complex client organizations.
  • Previous production related experience with broadcast, print and digital production, including emails development.
  • Strong project management experience; proven experience running a range of clients and internal projects and managing budgets.
  • Process oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience in developing sustainable relationships with clients and partners.
  • Proficient using Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Able to lead projects independently and interface with senior level clients.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at carving out a path forward to lead a team toward a shared goal; able to take a complex situation and make it simpler, navigable.
  • Resourceful problem-solver who is focused on bringing forward solutions.
  • Good at making connections, fostering collaboration and team spirit.
  • Interested and invested in training and mentoring junior team members.
