Job Description
Looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious legal assistant to join our busy Personal Injury firm. ICS Legal Services is a prominent Brampton plaintiff personal Injury firm with over 27 years of legal experience.
We are looking for an energetic Legal Assistant/Accident Benefits Clerk to support our Accident Benefits team. The ideal incumbent must work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, and must take pride in exceeding expectations.
This position is full-time and in person.
Duties and Responsibilities
Drafting correspondence to be sent to Insurance Companies, medical facilities and clients Drafting LAT Applications, drafting Case Conference Summaries Direct communication with clients, insurance adjusters and clinics Overall daily file maintenance Complete OCF forms in accordance with the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) Other duties assigned
Skills and Experience
Minimum 1+ years of accident benefits knowledge Completion of Legal Assistant program Attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities Strong verbal and writing skills Highly organized Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment Show discretion with sensitive and confidential information
Education and Qualifications
Post-secondary education. Completion of a Legal Assistant, Law Clerk or Paralegal Program is an asset Computer literate, with strong skills in the use of MS Office, e-mail and internet.
