Accident Benefits Claims Adjuster HOWARD MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY is excited to add to our dynamic team. We are currently looking to fill the role of Accident Benefits Claims Adjuster. We provide a competitive compensation program which includes a comprehensive benefit and pension package.The Accident Benefits Claims Adjuster will be responsible for investigating accident benefits insurance claims and determining the amount of loss, damages, and injury covered by the policy. The selected candidate will meet with injured claimants to deliver and explain the accident benefits package.This position will also ensure compliance with the Statutory Accident Benefits requirements and guidelines.Requirements: Postsecondary education or equivalent training and work experience
Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses C11, C13, C14, C32, C110, C111 an asset
Valid driver's license and own transportation
Minimum five years of related experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with insurance software
Experience with the Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI) system
Understanding of the mutual insurance system and its philosophy an asset
Detailed knowledge of the Ontario Statutory Accident Benefits regulations and procedures
Detailed knowledge of bodily injury claims
Detailed knowledge of litigation regulation and procedures
