The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) position is dedicated to ensuring that individuals with disabilities have equal access to services and opportunities. Responsibilities

Develop and implement educational programs that adhere to AODA standards, ensuring accessibility in all learning environments. Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and community organizations to enhance support systems for individuals with disabilities. Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including classrooms and community programs. Conduct assessments to identify specific needs and create tailored strategies for effective learning and engagement. Facilitate workshops and training sessions focused on disability awareness and inclusion practices. Maintain accurate records of progress and adapt programs as necessary to meet the evolving needs of participants.

Experience

Classroom experience is essential, particularly in early childhood education or special education settings. Proven experience working directly with people with disabilities, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their unique challenges. Background in teaching or caregiving roles that involve supporting children or adults with diverse needs. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with individuals, families, and stakeholders. A commitment to ongoing professional development related to accessibility practices and advocacy within the community. Pay: $38,481.89-$133,327.89 per year
