TrueEast Investments Inc. is a fast-growing company located in Halifax, NS. We are a well-established, innovative, and forward-thinking company that is growing rapidly. We are looking for a Security System Technician to join our team.

The Security Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our Access Control Systems and Video Surveillance Systems. This includes installation of new systems, repair of broken systems, and troubleshooting of malfunctions. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining the security of the access control system by following procedures and guidelines as well as adhering to all provinicial and federal regulations.

Requirements

Must be able to work with a variety of tools and equipment including but not limited to: hand tools, power tools, etc.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams etc.
Must have experience with installing and repairing mechanical components of access control systems.
Must have experience with installing and repairing electrical components of access control systems.
Must be able to troubleshoot electrical problems on mechanical parts of access control systems as well as run diagnostic tests on these problems.
Must be able to perform basic electrical testing on mechanical parts of access control systems as well as run diagnostic tests on these problems.
Must be able to perform basic electrical testing on industrial equipment such as: motors, solenoids, switches etc...
Must be able to run diagnostic tests on industrial equipment such as: motors, solenoids, switches etc...
Must be able to follow written instructions and directions accurately and completely as well as follow written procedures for all aspects of the job at hand including safety rules and guidelines.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints in both written & verbal forms (must be able to speak & write in English)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
