Position details

Location: Scarborough, ON (on-site at V3 Preparatory Academy)? Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.?

Key responsibilities

Provide daily classroom supervision during asynchronous academic blocks, including individualized tutoring and grading of coursework through our online learning platform.? Develop, teach, and tutor Ontario curriculum courses in Math, Science and Computer Science, with flexibility to support other courses as needed.? Support onboarding of new student-athletes and help build and maintain courses within our Moodle learning platform.? Provide standardized test preparation and STEM pathway support, and offer basic tech troubleshooting for students.? Maintain accurate academic and administrative records, communicate with students and families via reminders and progress updates, and prepare mid-term and final report cards.? Create and update OSRs and OSTs, collaborate with academic and athletic staff, and monitor and report each student's academic progress to the Principal on a monthly or as-needed basis.?

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; OCT certification or equivalent experience with Ontario curriculum is considered an asset.? Demonstrated experience teaching or tutoring high school students in one or more of Math, Science, Accounting, Business, History, or Computer Science.? Experience with online learning platforms (preferably Moodle) and comfort with educational technology tools.? Strong communication, classroom management, and relationship-building skills, particularly in working with student-athletes.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.78-$28.57 per hour

Expected hours: 17.5 per week
