Position Description

The Department of Psychiatry, in the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, invite applications for a Contingent Term appointment at the Professor level.

Qualifications include an MD, certification in Psychiatry, eligibility for regular licensure in the Province of Alberta, in the area of Focused Competence (AFC) in Addiction Medicine and be certified in Addiction Medicine with more than ten years of additional education experience. Applicants must present evidence of a strong publication record. The successful candidate will have 40% protected time for academics, focused primarily in the area of Addiction Psychiatry. Experience in serving as the fellowship Director and Competence Committee Chair at the postgraduate level for psychiatry residency program is preferred. This position will have direct involvement in the design and delivery of workshops and other CPD activities related to Addiction Psychiatry.
