We are seeking a

part-time Academic Director

to provide strategic oversight, maintain academic quality, and mentor our teachers--without the demands of a full-time schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, evaluation, and continuous improvement of K-12 English curriculum, ensuring alignment with academic standards, student needs, and the organization's strategic goals. Oversee onboarding and training programs for new teachers, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, resources, and methodologies to deliver high-quality instruction. Provide quality assurance through program reviews, teacher evaluations, and student feedback analysis. Develop and oversee professional development initiatives for teaching staff. Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth, new program launches, and technology integration.

Qualifications

Master's or Phd degree in English, Education, Curriculum Design, or related field. 5+ years of experience in education, with at least 3 years in an academic leadership role--preferably in a private school setting. Strong understanding of Ontario curriculum standards, educational best practices and private high school system. Strong expertise in pedagogy, curriculum development, and assessment. Experience with AP (Advanced Placement) and IB (International Baccalaureate) curriculum development or oversight is highly desirable. Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving startup environment.

$35.00-$50.00 per hour
