:Job SummaryAt Porter Airlines, a rewarding Aircraft Engineer career awaits. Porter is offering Relocation Assistance up to a maximum of $10,000 for successful candidates located outside of Montreal.Reporting to the Manager, Base and International Maintenance, the Base Engineer, YUL will work in support of Porterxe2x80x99s fleet in a line maintenance environment.Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems to identify problems and adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, approved manuals and established procedures
• Repair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems
• Install or modify aircraft engines, mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel and pneumatic systems
• Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul and cleaning, and reassemble
• Perform and document scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
• Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies
• Maintain GSE
• Actively participate in Porterxe2x80x99s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
• Ensure company offices and vehicles are kept organized and in working order
• Carry out any task assigned by Maintenance Operations Control
• Assist on the ramp as required

Qualifications

• Possession of a Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (M2 rating) required;
• Proven technical aptitude with at least 2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience and/or endorsed on DASH 8xe2x80x93 400 and/or Embraer Regional Jets and/or equivalent type of aircraft preferred.
• Experience working on a wide range of airframe systems such as electrical, navigation, flight controls and turbine engines.
• Ability to frequently climb, kneel and crawl into tight spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to obtain necessary Transport Canada security clearances and driverxe2x80x99s airside license within 6 months from date of hire.
• Full unrestricted driverxe2x80x99s license with a clean abstract required.
• Successfully complete the company background and pre-employment screening tests.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime.
