New Haven Learning Centre is a charitable non-profit organization committed to being a Centre of Excellence in the treatment and education of children, youth, and young adults with autism and related disorders in Ontario.

We are currently looking for a BCBA candidate to join our team as we continue to expand in providing both in-centre, community and virtual services. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Senor Lead Instructor Therapist will provide direct support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disorders in either the children or young adult program within a, one-to-one instruction model; small group instruction setting; home based; and/or virtual services. Work directly with the BCBA to; train staff; assess treatment integrity; oversee day to day implantation of skill acquisition and behaviour reduction programs for assigned classroom; support in the implementation of Behaviour Support Plans; review paperwork (e.g., program problem solving forms) for assigned staff; etc. Work directly with management to build effective services and programs that grow the potential and change the lives of our clients. Senior Lead Instructors will also be responsible for the daily implementation and evaluation of individualized skill acquisition and behaviour intervention programs for the learners. Resource preparation and classroom supports will be a foundational aspect of the job experience. Competently perform regular data summary/data analysis for assigned clients. Maintain open communication with co-workers and management; regularly communicating information on client progress. Actively participate in school staff meetings, joint staff meetings, staff development days and other training opportunities. Maintain confidentiality in relation to all client engagements. Provide evidence of required professional certificates.
Please note: In addition to Centre based programming, the Instructor Therapist may be responsible for providing support in home, on-line, in the workplace and/or in community settings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- BCBA candidate

- Experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum;

- Verbal and written communication skills;

- Organization skills;

- Ability to work independently and as a team player;

- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Behaviour Science and Technology, or equivalent;

- BCaBA or RBT certification considered an asset;

- Experience implementing the principles of ABA with students with autism or related disorders;

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
