Thank you for your interest in the ABA Classroom Teaching position with Inclusive Milestones Children Development Centres (IMCDC). This position is responsible for delivery of daily classroom programming, lessons and teaching components with the help of support staff. Our classrooms are designated for children with Autism and other exceptionalities in compliance with IMCDC policies and procedures. We provide individualized learning outcomes as well as unique treatment programs for each of our clients. Inclusive Milestones strongly believes in a multi-disciplinary and child centred approach to therapy. Our goal is to provide a work environment that is collaborative, energetic, and welcoming to all our therapists, staff, children and their families. Our vision is simple. Therapy should be accessible, convenient, client centred, and provided by staff that have a passion for helping others. : Inclusive Milestones is looking for an energetic and creative ABA Elementary Teacher to provide planning, organizing and delivery of learning materials for all classroom kids. Duties & Responsibilities:
- To work with children from different background and specialized populations.
- To provide all children with a safe and secure learning environment
- To plan, organize and deliver activities that foster individual learning outcomes.
- To be able to adjust, modify and personalize learning outcomes to meet the needs of each child.
- To collaborate and consult with other professionals within the company
- To create and develop materials as needed.
- To provide families with resources, information and home programming.
- Assist with parent workshops as needed.
- Participate in continuing education classes and workshop to remain current and up to date within the field.
- To actively participate alongside other company professionals in multidisciplinary team, and family meetings to support a collaborative approach.
- To model language facilitation strategies and the use of visual communication devices/systems to children who need it throughout their day in class.
- To create and write progress reports for families.
- To perform other duties as assigned by Clinical Director.
- ECE, EA, OCT or related field.
- Minimum two years experience leading a classroom and/or group.
- Minimum one year related experience working with children with various exceptionalities is required.
- Proficient verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- A valid Ontario Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and have access to own transportation preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills and report writing.

- As a condition of employment, successful candidates will be required to submit a current Vulnerable Sector Check from the police jurisdiction in which they reside prior to commencing employment with Inclusive Milestones. Vulnerable Sector Check documents are only valid if issued within the last six months.
