5-ton truck delivery services on behalf of retail brands, outlets, and distribution centres.

As a

FURNITURE & APPLIANCE DELIVERY CARRIER

, you and your employees will work as a team, securely loading your 5-ton truck and safely delivering to customer locations. Many items require team-lifting and exceed 100lbs in weight. With the use of safe lifting techniques, effective planning, dollies, straps, suction cups, and other protective equipment.

Your team will service the Vancouver Island area with large-item delivery service based on routes provided by Docker Transport Inc. and its clients.

Required Authorities:



Registered entity in good standing with the registries. NSC safety certificate. WorkSafe BC account active and in good standing. Valid vehicle licenses, registrations, and insurances. Commercial General Liability insurance ($5M) with motor cargo coverage ($100k).

Carrier Requirements:



Own (and maintain) or lease a working 24'-26' box delivery truck with power tailgate (2011 or newer is preferred). Appliance and furniture-moving delivery equipment & delivery experience. Personal protection equipment (PPE). Clean criminal background(s) for all team members. Clean driver abstract(s) for all team members. Valid driver license(s) for all driving team members.

Requirements of the Owner-Operator and its employee(s):



High-level customer service skills. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Physically able to lift up medium-to-heavy-weight items using proper equipment. Able to operate basic hand and power tools. Complete logistical processes to Docker Transport specifications. Working smartphone/tablet with data capabilities for running the required delivery apps Prevent all occurrences of property and product damage. Flexible availability, full days of work.

Responsibilities:



Safely and properly load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment. Deliver appliances into customer locations a in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring no damages to the product(s) or customer property. Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial, and federal safety regulations, codes, and specifications. The carrier and its staff completes all assigned training as provided by Docker Transport
Pay statements are semi-monthly and paid Net30 by direct deposit

Pay: $700.00-$1,000.00 per day
