Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Grade 5 Teacher to join our dedicated team at Hamilton Downtown Islamic School in Hamilton. This role is pivotal in shaping the educational experience of our students, ensuring they receive a holistic education aligned with both the Ontario curriculum and Islamic values.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Ontario curriculum. Foster a positive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respect and cooperation among students. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational practices and share resources. Support the moral and intellectual development of students through an Islamic lens. Engage with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address concerns. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational standards.

Qualifications

OCT for elementary education, experience considered Bachelor's degree , Canadian education. Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning. Strong classroom management skills with a focus on creating an inclusive environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with special needs. Commitment to professional growth through continuous learning.
