5G Senior Embedded, Software Developer (Layer 2, DU & MPlane)
Location: Ottawa - Remote - Hybrid
Format: Permanent - Fulltime
Snap Shot of key requirements:
- Layer 2 DU- working on M-Plane
- Cell management
- PM (Performance Management)
- FM (Fault mgt)
- Embedded, C++ Development
- Scripting, Python
- Experience any these spaces: RAN (Wireless, Mobility, Radio, 5G, 4G, LTE)
- Implement and test key Layer 2 features, algorithms and integrate them with the CU and RU and other features in the DU working in a LEAN Agile environment, implementing features in C++
- Be part of a scrum team responsible for the continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) of the DU components and fix defects in a timely manner
- Identify, develop, execute, monitor and maintain automated tests.
- Solid knowledge of RAN software architecture and design.
- Strong knowledge and experience in C/C++ programming with good knowledge of Python/scripting languages.
- Solid understanding of wireless technologies and standards, preferably in 5G, O-RAN, LTE; and RAN Layer 2 - RLC, MAC, Scheduler, and L1 interfaces.
- Experience working on carrier grade telecommunications products. Experience with Wireshark, gdb, GIT, Netconf YANG and the Atlassian toolset.
