The following positions are open for applications: CLERICAL ASSISTANT \xe2\x80\x93 SECONDARY CUPE Competition No. 5677 Location: Don Ross Middle School Temporary: August 21, 2023 to June 28, 2024 Hours: 4.0 hours per day, for all days school is in session Rate of Pay: $30.21/hour Duties & Responsibilities: Under the direction of the School Principal, performs a variety of clerical and accounting tasks, while ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of a secondary school office. Under the direction of the Teacher Librarian, performs a variety of clerical and student support duties in the Library. Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 plus a special program and over two (2) years up to and including three (3) years related experience in a clerical capacity or the equivalent combination and related training and experience. A special program is the Capilano University Business Fundamentals Program.
- Knowledge of database management, spreadsheet and word processing programs plus familiarity with computerized attendance and/or scheduling programs.
- Knowledge and experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License.
- Ability to operate a variety of standard and/or related office equipment, followed by a keyboarding speed of 60 wpm.
- Knowledge of basic First Aid.
