The following temporary position is open for applications: CLERICAL ASSISTANT \xe2\x80\x93 SECONDARY CUPE Competition No. 5507 EDUCATION ASSISTANT \xe2\x80\x93 LIBRARY Location: PEMBERTON SECONDARY SCHOOL Temporary: March 06, 2023 to March 05, 2024, or return of the Incumbent, whichever occurs first Hours: 6.0 hours per day, 10 months per year (Clerical Assistant \xe2\x80\x93 Secondary) 1.0 hour per day, 10 months per year (Education Assistant \xe2\x80\x93 Library) Rate of Pay: $29.01 per hour (Clerical Assistant \xe2\x80\x93 Secondary) $26.64 per hour (Education Assistant \xe2\x80\x93 Library) Duties & Responsibilities: Under the direction of the School Principal, performs a variety of clerical and accounting tasks, while ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of a secondary school office. Under the direction of the Teacher Librarian, performs a variety of clerical and student support duties in the Library. Qualifications: Completion of Grade 12 plus a special program and over two (2) years up to and including three (3) years related experience in a clerical capacity or the equivalent combination and related training and experience. A special program is the Capilano University Business Fundamentals Program. Knowledge of database management, spreadsheet and word processing programs plus familiarity with computerized attendance and/or scheduling programs. Knowledge and experience in accounting and bookkeeping. Valid Class 5 BC Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License. Ability to operate a variety of standard and/or related office equipment, followed by a keyboarding speed of 60 wpm. Knowledge of basic First Aid.
