Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves transporting freight efficiently and safely across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a positive team player attitude, familiarity with heavy objects and equipment, and the ability to perform basic automotive repairs when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Must be in good physical shape as lifting is required
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery
- Verify the accuracy of packages and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery
- Adhere to all traffic laws and motor carrier regulations while driving
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
Experience & Requirements:
- Must currently own 2016 or newer 5 ton truck
- Applicant must hold own liability and cargo insurance
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, abstract and background check needed
- Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is required
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
- Must be technically inclined
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in package verification
As a Courier Driver, your attention to detail is essential in verifying the accuracy of loads and obtaining necessary signatures / POD's upon delivery.
