We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Apprentice who has obtained a Transport or Heavy Equipment Technology certificate aligned with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) curriculum for Heavy Equipment Technicians periods three or four. Primary duties include:
Work with a journeyperson technician performing planned maintenance work as well as diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of vehicles and equipment.
Follow a preventative maintenance program on a large variety of equipment.
Enter work order information into the fleet management system.
Perform repairs and/or replace defective parts, components or systems, using both hand and power tools, measuring instruments and software programs.
