About the Opportunity

Under the direction of the Chief Engineer/Assistant Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for the operation of the districts boilers and associated systems and equipment. Trouble shoots, maintains and repairs equipment and systems as directed by his/her supervisor. Shift work required.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Fourth Class Standardized Power Engineers certificate from the NS Department of Labour and Advanced Education
• Two (2) years experience after obtaining Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate in operation and maintenance of a high pressure steam plant
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

• Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives

$28.16 - $28.65 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.

This position is currently eligible for a Market Adjustment of approximately $XXX.XX biweekly. Eligibility for a Market Adjustment is reviewed periodically.
