We have openings for 4th Class Power Engineers at:

- Barry Group in Harbour Breton, NL

Position Responsibilities

As 4th Class Power Engineer, your main responsibility is to operate the engine room in a safe and efficient manner. You will do this by:

Taking direction from the Chief Engineer Completing unplanned maintenance and preventative maintenance Operate and maintain both screw and recip compressors Operate and maintain steam boilers Operate and maintain ice machines Operate and maintain freezers Operate and maintain compressed air systems Take part in maintaining the mechanical integrity of our systems Help with machinery installation and maintenance as required Providing a safe environment for our employees Wear required PPE and follow safety guidelines Some overtime on short notice may be required

Your Qualifications

4th class Power Engineering Certificate Experience working in a fish processing plant is an advantage but not a necessity Experience with boilers and ammonia refrigeration is an advantage Experience and knowledge of general plant maintenance

This position is based on a two week on, two week off shift. Accommodations also available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.80 per hour
