Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. Duties

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues through effective communication. Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with diverse needs. Maintain classroom organization, ensuring materials are accessible and conducive to learning. Utilize computer skills for lesson planning, record-keeping, and communication purposes. Lead classroom activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate and First Aid Certificate

Minimum 2 years of experience

working in a preschool classroom within a structured, curriculum-based childcare setting. Demonstrated experience supporting children in an educational or childcare environment. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable. Knowledge of special education practices is considered an asset. Strong communication skills--both verbal and written--to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues. Excellent organizational skills to plan and manage classroom activities efficiently. Proven time management abilities to balance multiple responsibilities in a dynamic classroom setting. Leadership qualities that foster confidence, curiosity, and positive learning experiences among young children. Basic computer literacy for administrative and documentation tasks related to teaching.
