We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals who have experience installing DWV in residential construction. The Apprentice Plumber will assist in various plumbing tasks, learning essential skills and techniques necessary for a successful career in plumbing.
Responsibilities
Assist licensed plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing projects.
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks.
Participate in the assembly and installation of pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures.
Support maintenance activities by troubleshooting plumbing issues and performing necessary repairs.
Gain knowledge of HVAC systems as they relate to plumbing installations.
Collaborate with team members on construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Develop mechanical knowledge through hands-on training and practical experience.
Requirements
Basic understanding of plumbing principles and practices is preferred but not required.
Mechanical knowledge with a strong interest in learning about plumbing systems.
Familiarity with carpentry, construction techniques, and maintenance tasks is a plus.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing work.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and assembly processes is advantageous.
Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
