Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and components, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. The Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks. Troubleshoot electrical issues by diagnosing problems using appropriate techniques. Work with low voltage systems as required. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes during all work activities. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently. Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.

Experience

Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role within the electrical field. Familiarity with industrial electrician practices is preferred. Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics related to electrical installations. Ability to work with both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of low voltage systems is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $21.60-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 44 per week

Education:

AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
