We are currently recruiting for a

3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Carpenter

to join the

Buildings

group in

Edmonton, AB!

Shifts are 5 days on 2 days off - chance to work overtime (this may include extended hours/ weekends/ or possible afternoon & night shift) if site requires.

Responsibilities:

Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, while utilizing appropriate math skills Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location Building of hoarding and other temporary structures Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level Look for, and fix deficiencies Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required Studies blueprints for work planning Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures Perform other related duties as assigned General site upkeep

Requirements:

Preference will be given to a Registered Carpenter Apprentice Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
