3-Axis CNC Machinist

to join our talented Tool & Gage team in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Both challenging and rewarding, this position will require you to collaborate with other skilled machinists and toolmakers to deliver high-quality results for our customers.

What you'll get to do

Blueprint and Schematic Review:

Analyze blueprints and schematic drawings to determine machining processes, dimensions, and assembly procedures using your knowledge of tool design, shop mathematics, and machining methodologies.

Machining Operations:

Set up, program, and operate the 3-axis vertical CNC machine (Mori Seiki DURAVERTICAL 5100).

Verification and Conformance:

Check the conformance of machined parts using measuring instruments such as dial indicators, height gauges, micrometres, and gauge blocks to ensure dimensional accuracy, clearances, and alignment.

CNC Programming and Control Systems:

Recognize the functions of the specific controller capabilities program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program.

Post Machining Detailing:

After machining, deburr and finish details by filing, tapping, grinding, or scraping.

Machine Maintenance

: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.

What we are looking for

Experience:

5+ years of machining experience.

Qualifications:

Completed apprenticeship and certification as a machinist is an asset.

Technical Skills:

+ Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints
+ Strong safety focus with attention to detail for precise machining
+ Knowledge of G-code, M-code, as well as GD&T principles
+ Previous experience using a Fanuc controller
+ Programming experience with Lemoine
+ Familiarity with Flexible Clamping System (FCS) for CNC machines is an asset

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Flexibility:

Ability to adapt work hours to accommodate customer production timelines when necessary.

Work Authorization:

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
