Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Provincial Director of Population Oncology, and the Project Lead for the Manitoba Tomorrow Project (MTP), the Research Project Coordinator will work closely with the team responsible for the planning and execution of the Manitoba Tomorrow Project's research goals and objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for the daily coordination of tasks, the management of routine project paperwork and filing systems to ensure the organization and security of project/participant files. This includes assisting with the development of study plans for recruitment, acquiring study permissions, ensuring planned analyses and protocols align with approved permissions, assisting in the reporting and presentation of results, and managing study budgets. The role also includes on-going collaboration with internal and external/local and national project stakeholders.

The Research Project Coordinator may be given ad hoc responsibilities as required to ensure the successful implementation of the Manitoba Tomorrow Project's goals.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • University degree in health, social, or behavioral sciences or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience in project implementation and management
  • Training in data collection, analysis and management
  • Experience in coordinating the implementation of the communication strategies and evaluating the result
  • Experience in planning, drafting and implementation of communications with participants and public through website and newsletters
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat applications
  • Must hold a satisfactory employment record
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada

  • Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytic skills
  • Ability to work independently and able to follow detailed protocols with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
Asset:
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytic skills
  • Budget management experience
  • Strong population health background with at least two years of work experience in project coordination
  • Familiarity with administrative and clinical databases
  • Ability to speak French
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
