Metro Infrastructure Inc is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 310S or 310T Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position will fulfill a current opening to enhance the mechanical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and problem-solving skills are highly valued. The Mechanic will play a crucial part in minimizing downtime and ensuring safety standards are met across our fleet operations.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques.
Repair or replace faulty components, including belts, gears, motors, and hydraulic systems.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Collaborate with production teams to schedule repairs with minimal disruption to operations.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades as needed.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Skills
Valid Ontario 310S or 310T License
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to operate hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery safely.
Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
Nice-to-have: Certification or training in HVAC, welding, or specialized machinery repair. This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations, requiring a dedicated professional with a strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
