Position Overview
We're looking for a
310T Truck & Coach Apprentice (Level 2 or 3)
who already holds a
310S Automotive Service Technician certification.
This role is perfect for a motivated technician eager to advance in the heavy-duty trade while working in a modern, well-equipped shop that services everything from light-duty pickups to fleet trucks and equipment. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working with modern tools and technology.
Qualifications
Registered
310T Apprentice (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
310S Automotive Service Technician certification
(additional certifications in EVs, hybrids, or advanced diagnostics are an asset)
3-4 years of relevant hands-on experience
Proficient in diagnostics and repair of gasoline engines, brakes, steering, suspension, drivetrains, electrical, and HVAC systems
Skilled with diagnostic tools, scanners, and shop equipment
Valid G driver's license with a clean record (DZ or AZ license considered an asset)
Must supply own toolbox and safety shoes
Commitment to safety, professionalism, and high-quality workmanship
Two professional references and a clear police background check required
Responsibilities
Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and equipment under supervision
Diagnose and assist with repairs on
diesel, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and electrical systems
Use shop software, tablets, and training tools for diagnostics and repair documentation
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
Continue progressing toward
310T certification
with mentorship and on-the-job training
Perform inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on cars, pickups, SUVs, and fleet vehicles(light- to medium-duty vehicles) with no/minimal supervision
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, steering, braking, and drivetrain issues for light- to medium-duty vehicles with no/minimal supervision
Service and repair HVAC, exhaust, and emission control systems for light- to medium-duty vehicles with no/minimal supervision
Overhaul and rebuild gasoline engines and other major components as required
Accurately document work performed, parts used, and follow-up actions
Use shop software, tablets, and smartphones for manuals, diagnostics, and training
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in compliance with company policies and safety standards
Collaborate with the service writer and team to ensure efficient service delivery
Stay up to date with new repair techniques, technologies, and industry trends
