We are a growing electrical contracting company seeking a motivated and reliable second-year electrical apprentice to join our team. Job Responsibilities:
Assist licensed electricians with commercial and/or residential electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs
Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and job instructions
Install, bend, and secure conduit (EMT, PVC, etc.)
Pull wire, install devices, panels, and fixtures under supervision
Safely and properly use hand tools and power tools
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and electrical codes
Communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and customers when needed
Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work each day
Take direction well and show initiative when tasks are completed
Continuously learn and improve electrical knowledge and skills
Qualifications & Requirements:
Currently enrolled as a
2nd-year electrical apprentice
or equivalent experience
Prior hands-on experience using hand and power tools
Strong work ethic with attention to detail and organization
Reliable transportation to job sites
Punctual, dependable, and responsible
Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Willingness to learn, grow, and advance in the electrical trade
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various job site conditions
Valid class 5 drivers license and basic hand tools
Preferred (but not required):
Basic knowledge of Canadian electrical code
Experience in residential and commercial electrical installations
WHMIS certification
