Job Summary

Antler Hill Welding Services Ltd. is a busy welding shop that offers both portable and shop welding services to a wide range of clients. We are currently looking for an experienced apprentice (preferably 2nd or 3rd year) or journeyman welder to join our team. Experience with custom fabrication, blueprints, SMAW/FCAW/MCAW and GMAW, the ability to work in the shop and potentially in the field, show pride in your work, be proficient in all trade related duties and having the ability to work as part of our team are all considered assets.

Also, any CWB and/or safety tickets are assets. We offer competitive wages, a benefit package after 3 months, and a great atmosphere to work in.

Duties

Perform MCAW / FCAW / GMAW and SMAW welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards. Utilize hand plasma/Oxy torch as needed. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Operate hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively in the manufacturing environment. Conduct rigging operations to move heavy materials or components as necessary. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, ensuring timely completion of projects. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.

Requirements

Proven experience in welding, with proficiency in MCAW/FCAW/GMAW techniques preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Ability to operate cranes safely and efficiently when required. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
