ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)



Current certificate of competence as an RN in Ontario and registration in the Extended Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Masters prepared from accredited University preferred. Current certification in BCLS Knowledge of Nurse Practitioners' prescribing guidelines as set out by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Member of RNAO with professional liability insurance. Minimum of 5 years' experience in the hospital and community setting with Mental Health and Addictions background. Demonstrated clinical knowledge of the relationship between mental health and addictions and physical health. Advanced clinical judgment and comprehensive skills in mental health assessment, and treatment, with the ability to effectively adapt to constantly changing and unpredictable situations. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Effective interpersonal listening, time management, organizational, teamwork, leadership, problem solving and networking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as computer literacy * Satisfactory attendance.
