ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)

Current certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario required. Current BCLS & ACLS certification required. BScN preferred. Recognized OR course or equivalent from Community College. Recent O.R. experience (within past 3 years) required. Cardiovascular Module Certification of Critical Care Nursing Program from a Community College (within past 5 years) required.

-Certification in Delegated Medical Acts - Recognition and treatment of Arrhythmias, Life Saving Drugs, Application of Energy required.


2 years surgical experience required. Procedural Sedation Certification within 6 months of hire required. Canadian Perioperative Certification preferred. Member of RNAO preferred. * Satisfactory attendance.
