ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
College of Nurses of Ontario registration in the Extended Class (NP-Primary Health Care or NP-Adult)
Baccalaureate in Nursing (BScN), Masters Degree in Nursing (MScN or MN) preferred
Knowledge of Nurse Practitioners' Standards of Practice as set out by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Member of NPAO preferred.
Experience in the hospital setting, with a Critical Care or Emergency Care background.
Experience in providing care for the elderly.
Advanced clinical judgement and comprehensive skills in triage, assessment, examination and treatment, with the ability to effectively adapt to constantly changing and unpredictable situations.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of an interprofessional team.
Effective interpersonal listening, time management, organizational, teamwork, leadership, problem solving and networking skills.
Demonstrated ability in program/service development including planning, implementation, evaluation and promotion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as computer literacy
