520, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE.

Required Qualifications and Experience

A part-time Mathematics/Science (.5714 FTE) position consisting of two (2) blocks of grade 9 Math, one (1) block of Workplace Math 10/11 and one (1) block of grade 8 Science is available at Sentinel Secondary School effective September 2, 2025. This position replaces a teacher on leave. The successful candidate must have:

Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Mathematics. Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Science. Hold a valid BC Professional Teaching Certificate Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum. Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Prescribed Learning Outcomes (PLOs) and Integrated Resource Packages (IRPs), as well as providing evidence of the use of criterion referenced assessment and Performance Standards. An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners. A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills. A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
