Position: Diner's Club Cook Assistant

$25.29 - 30.22 /HR - 35 Hours per Week

Location: Naughton, ON

POSITION SCOPE:

The Meals on Wheels Cook Assistant will assist with preparing nutritious meals once a week to Atikameksheng Anishnawbek elders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

WHMIS Certificate Food Handler's Certificate CPIC - must provide at time of employment offer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Food Preparation

Assist with the receiving and safe storage of food products according to policies Assist the Cook with planning and shopping of meals Prepare meals in large quantities to serve approximately 70 people or more Preparation and cleaning of food service areas Responsible for the proper operation and care of cooking equipment Set up and packaging of meals

Food Service

Maintains principles of hygiene and safe food handling as a means of minimizing the risk of contamination of food

Administrative

Assist with collection of names of participants and inputting information into PS Suites Assist with monthly menu planning Complete and submit all incident reports to Home Care Manager
