Hamilton Lane, a global investment leader in the private markets sector with US$818B in AUM/S and over 620 employees across 23 offices (as of June 30, 2023), is seeking recent or upcoming university graduates to join our Analyst Development Program. We are looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial individual to assist our growing investment and client management business in our Toronto office.
This program kicks off with a robust, hands-on, six-week training session starting in July 2024 at our headquarters in the United States, based in Philadelphia, PA. Within the program, analysts can expect to develop strong job skills, receive mentoring opportunities, and be coached by some of the industry\xe2\x80\x99s best leaders within the investment teams.
The Opportunity
The Fund Investment team identifies and reviews private equity fund managers and works with our global client base to build and manage private markets portfolios across Private Equity, Private Credit, and Private Real Assets.
Fund Investment team members conduct due diligence, screen new investment opportunities, contribute to fund research reports, prepare client deliverables and work on special projects to support client servicing. This role will be dually focused on investment underwriting and client/portfolio management.
As a member of a fast-growing Canadian office, the analyst will be an important part of our cross-functional business. Team members are exposed to the world\xe2\x80\x99s best private equity managers and work alongside our leading institutional investors on a global scale.
First year Fund Investment Analysts will begin to develop the skills needed to assess private market fund investment opportunities and assist in client management. They will receive exposure to private markets asset managers (General Partners) by analyzing their private placement materials, participating in in-house due diligence meetings and site visits to their offices. They will also work directly with Portfolio Strategists/Relationship Managers on various prospect and client inquiries, pipeline calls, presentations, and portfolio development tasks.
