Overview


We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry and construction industry. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work alongside skilled carpenters, learning the trade while contributing to various projects. This role requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Duties



Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks. Participate in framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture installation. Support concrete forming, masonry work, and roofing tasks as needed. Engage in restoration projects including water damage restoration, mold remediation, and plastering. Help with heavy lifting and moving materials on construction sites. Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times. Collaborate with team members on-site to ensure project completion according to specifications.

Qualifications



Basic knowledge of carpentry principles; prior construction site experience is a plus. Familiarity with construction estimating techniques is beneficial. Experience with woodworking, siding installation, flooring installation, tile laying, caulking, stucco application, and metal stud framing is advantageous. Understanding of rebar installation and concrete forming processes is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by job duties. Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn new skills related to the restoration industry including maintenance person tasks like plumbing and electrical work. A positive attitude with a commitment to quality workmanship. Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
