We are seeking a skilled Intercom Operator to join our Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association Parking Services team on a casual basis (0-19 hours per week), rotating weekends (Sat/Sun) 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (24 hours per pay period) at McMaster Hospital.
As Intercom Operator you will be responsible for managing and operating the parking intercom and assisting customers with their parking needs over the intercom lines. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong customer services skills.
What you'll do
Answer parking intercoms located at the exit, entrance and pay station terminals throughout Hamilton Health Sciences parking facilities in a timely manner.
Manage the incoming intercom inquiries in priority sequence.
Remotely control and navigate parking equipment software in order to help a caller.
View security cameras located within the parking facilities in order to ensure accurate information and assistance is provided.
Other duties as assigned by Parking Manager or Director of Parking Operations.
What you bring

Minimum grade 12 education.
1-2 years related work experience.
Knowledge and experience dealing with public.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills

Swift judgment and critical thinking skills.
