Job Summary:
The Food Services Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing cookware, eating utensils, and related kitchen items.
Employment Type: Casual (1 Position) Reports To: Residence Care Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Washes, scrubs, rinses, sanitizes, and dries pots, pans, and related kitchen items
- Cleans floors, walls, and ceilings in kitchen and eating areas
- Performs deep-cleaning of ovens and kitchen appliances
- Ensures cleanliness of the kitchen and eating areas
- Other related duties as required by the Residence Care Manager
Education, Training and Experience:
- Minimum completion of Grade 10
- Minimum of 1 year recent related experience
- Experience with a multicultural clientele
Job Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to operate equipment related to cleaning the kitchen
- Ability to carry out the duties of working in a kitchen setting
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to communicate in Chinese (any dialects) is considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
Additional Information:
- Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) Required
- Able to work weekdays or weekends as required
