Role:

Our Client is currently seeking three (3) experienced #101018 IT Management Consultants (Contract) for a 5 month contract starting in Oct 2022. There is a strong possibility of extension at the client's discretion. Work can be completed remotely but must be available for occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton, AB. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in an IT Consulting role providing assessment of data initiatives, developing Communication strategies, facilitating workshops, and working closely with stakeholders. Experience with data and information management concepts, privacy, and security issues relating to FOIP would be a strong asset.

All candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

General Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Identify potential data initiatives to help solve business problems.
  • Participate in the assessment and prioritization of data initiatives.
  • Consult with stakeholders (internal and external) to assess high-level business requirements and in consultation with Data Product Advisors and Data Product Delivery teams suggest potential solutions.
  • Support the development of data products with a sound understanding of business and industry demands while adhering to data legislation, privacy, and security requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a communication strategy to ensure a thorough awareness and understanding of the Data Strategy and effectively communicate to stakeholders.
  • Maintain engagement, meeting, and opportunity trackers.
Mandatory:
  • 5 years of experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • 5 years of experience facilitating/leading workshops and strategic conversations.
  • 5 years of experience facilitating one-on-one and group presentation.
  • 5 years of experience in conducting information research and completing assessments
Desirable:
  • 5 years of experience identifying stakeholders and potential opportunities.
  • 5 years of experience with business writing, communication, and documentation.
  • 5 years of experience with the development of communication plans.
  • 5 years of experience with data and information management concepts, privacy, and security issues relating to FOIP.
Education:
  • Degree + 4yrs related experience OR 2yr diploma + 6yrs related experience OR 1yr certificate in related discipline + 7yrs related experience OR 8yr related experience.
  • Nice to Have:
  • DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
  • Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP)
