Job Description

The Portage la Prairie School Division invites applications for a

Grade 7 French Immersion Teacher

beginning January 6, 2026 at Ecole Arthur Meighen.

Qualifications:

Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification) Strong proficiency in French (oral and written) Previous experience in French Immersion or Middle Years teaching is considered an asset Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

Assess, monitor, and report on student achievement Support students in developing strong literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills in French Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student learning and well-being Participate in school-based and divisional professional learning
