School District 8 (Kootenay Lake) is nestled in the Southeast corner of British Columbia. We are a vibrant area, covering 6 "families of schools" in the centres of Creston, Crawford Bay, Kaslo/Meadow Creek, Nelson, Salmo, and the Slocan Valley. Our area is beautiful, vibrant, a fantastic place to raise children, has a world-renowned Arts and Entertainment community, and easily accesses a variety of amazing outdoor pursuits.Trafalgar Middle School is looking for a gr 9 French Immersion teacher to join our high functioning team. This position includes francais langue, sciences humaines, leducation a la carriere, leducation physique et la sante, and English.



The successful applicant will have demonstrated successful classroom experience in an intermediate classroom. It is expected that the successful applicant will work with and follow the school based team plans for inclusion of all students, behavior expectations, and continue to implement whole school wide programs related to school and district strategic plans. The awarded applicant will be energetic, collaborative and organized individual and is committed to student learning. The successful candidate is expected to plan, prepare and present curriculum related to intermediate grades and apply current pedagogy to support student success.
