Position Summary

The Reproductive Health Nurse provides health education and care within the scope of nursing practice. As a member of a client-centered interdisciplinary team, the Reproductive Health Nurse provides care to individuals across the life span promoting wellness, prevention of disease and/or disability and the management of reproductive health and wellness. The incumbent works as an advocate on behalf of the client to ensure the appropriate links/referrals to other human services that would enable the client to achieve their health goals.

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of approved Registered Nursing education program, BN preferred.
  • Member in good standing with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
  • Must have RNAP Certification
Skills, Expertise and Experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years\' experience working as a Registered Nurse
  • A minimum of three (3) years\' experience working in a community health setting Knowledge and Experience working with Students and/or Volunteers
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Community EMR/Accuro, and eChart

Proven knowledge and ability in critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Proven management skills, including case management, scheduling, organizational communication, and connection to other MCC programs
