JVH Humphries and Jewett Elementary are looking for a flexible, dynamic, high performing classroom teacher to join our K-12 teaching team.
The position will be for supervision of the classroom component of the JVH Outdoor Adventures Exploratory on Tuesday afternoon, Elementary prep coverage on Wednesday and Thursday (also at JV Humphries), and once a month prep coverage at Jewett Elementary on Fridays.

The annual pay range for a full time teacher is $63,367 - $111,488, with placement on the range based on experience and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
The awarded applicant will have recent demonstrated successful experience working with K-12 learners in a classroom teaching role. They will have strong classroom management skills, be an excellent communicator and have had recent trauma informed schools training.
The successful applicant will be innovative, creative, and demonstrate understanding of the Redesigned BC Curriculum and diverse learning needs. They will continually strive to improve pedagogy in a changing educational environment. A solid understanding of current assessment practices, and the redesigned K-12 Reporting Policy, would be an asset.
