English and Humanities Teacher
Eagle River Secondary
This is a
temporary assignment effective immediately to January 27, 2026.
This assignment consists of teaching one (1) block English 10 and one (1) block Humanities 7/8. The block rotation is A/B.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts or Education (Secondary emphasis preferred); Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch.
Teachers applying should possess the following attributes:
academic credentials and/or experience in teaching English; academic credentials and/or experience in teaching Humanities; a working knowledge of the current curriculum for English and Humanities; demonstrated successful experience teaching at the Secondary level; commitment to fostering a collaborative and cooperative working environment; committed to stimulating student interest and confidence in learning; evidence of ability to motivate secondary students; demonstrated use of a variety of instructional and assessment strategies; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with other staff members; commitment to involving parents in the learning of their children.
